Holy Smokes Launch Party Recap.

Holy Smokes! What an awesome event! We at Holy Smokes wanted to say thank you again for supporting us throughout the past 15 years of making this dream a reality.

Holy Smokes founder, our very own Big Daddy Dave, first started grilling for church picnics, cooking banquet meals for fundraisers, and catering parties for friends and family. This backyard hobby quickly turned into a side business when he was being asked to cater weddings and corporate events. A General Contractor by trade, David began to sense it was time for a change.

David recently acquired a food truck (actually a trailer) and officially hung up his tool belt, retiring from construction just before his 50th birthday.

This past weekend, May 22nd, we were able to officially launch what was once a dream with a full-on PARTY!

While there were truly more people than we could ever count, we estimate around 400 people came out to show support and have a meal with us.

We served over 300 POUNDS of meat, and 120 pounds of pulled pork alone! We also had coleslaw and kale salad by the gallon (15 gallons to be exact)!

Sunday was more than just a launch party- it was like a reunion. The day was full of love and laughter, and of course, a few tears. We saw our oldest friends, church family, old neighbors, family we hadn’t seen in 15 years, people from near and far, all walks of life came out to support us. Boy did we feel the love!

While we are a family business, we could never do this alone. There are a few people we want to give a special thank you to.
